To provide scholarships for tuition, books, school uniform and supplies and food vouchers for student suffering from urban violence and violende from firearms. To cater for underprivileged youths/at-risk-youths, as well as to provide mentorship programs. To educate the youth on gun violence and prevention.
The CLBF was started in memory of 16 year old Carlton Locksley Bennett who was murdered for a gold chain. This will be our Third Annual Brunch and "Taking Back Our Kids Campaign kickoff. Brunch starts from 10am to 3pm. There will be entertainment such as fashion show, spoken words, dancing etc. We will be linking our students to mentors during our Brunch.
We have been working with High School students who have been affected by crimes and violence directly and directly. We provide senior dues, assist with clothing for prom and graduation etc. Our aim is to encourage students to stay in school, get an education and empower self.
