    The Lawrence History Center is dedicated to: The Collection, preservation, arrangement, description and exhibition of documents, photographs, oral histories and other artifacts that constitute the historical record of Lawrence, Massachusetts; Preservation of the historic Essex Company buildings and courtyard,the organization that built the city of Lawrence; Provision of access to the materials and site for education and research; Usage of this cultural asset to contribute to the economic and social enhancement of the City and its residents.
