    The Joan Ganz Cooney Center, a newly established educational media, research, and public dissemination organization housed within the offices of Sesame Workshop that will launch an exciting enterprise whose mission is to accelerate children's learning from new media and technology. The center will undertake and fund original research, forge partnerships with communications industry leaders to accelerate innovation in children's media, and conduct symposia and an information dissemination program for policymakers and the public. The center will include a small core staff, expert fellows and have access to the expertise and knowledge of its parent organization, Sesame Workshop, the leading educational media nonprofit organization in the world.
