Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children

  • Mission

The Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children is an umbrella non-profit organization of programs that serve to bring about healing to children and adults who are victims of crime and to facilitate change to end violence through advocacy, collaboration and community awareness.

    About Us

The Advocacy Center has 3 programs offering services to survivors, their family members and loved ones. The Victims Center includes immediate 24/7 response through the crisis hotline and caring advocates for sexual assault victims during their hospital exams. The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners provide forensic medical examinations. We provide case management, assessment, referrals and advocacy for clients with law enforcement, the court system, and other agencies. Professional confidential counseling and support groups are available. The Children's Advocacy Center is a holistic, coordinated response to suspected sexual and physical abuse. Interviews and medical exams give the child an opportunity to tell his/her story and ensure the physical health of the child. Weekly case reviews with partner agencies (law enforcement, CPS, the District Attorney's Office, medical community, social workers and case managers oversee each case from beginning to end. Community education and family enrichment groups inform and serve as conduits to better prepare the community to take care of its most vulnerable members - our children.
