    Spokeland is a nonprofit, community-driven bicycle cooperative that aims to reach out locally and foster Oakland unity. We support the use of bicycles as a viable means of transportation as well as a healthy recreational activity. We are focused on providing a safe and fun workspace for people of all ages, ethnicities and cultures, genders, sexual orientations, and skill levels. We offer bicycle safety and maintenance education in an environment that helps to build knowledge, empowerment, and self-reliance for members of our community.

    About Us

    We offer open shop hours where volunteers are available to guide you through fixing your own bicycle. We have been open and serving Oakland for 7 years. Many of our members have worked at similar coops throughout California, and we are excited to bring this kind of workshop and service to Oakland and serve our neighborhood. We are a volunteer run consensus based organization, and we would like to involve more community members and organizations.
