NYU Center for Urban Science and Progress
The Center for Urban Science and Progress (CUSP) is a New York University center whose research and education programs are focused on urban informatics. Using NYC as its lab, it integrates and applies NYU's strengths in the natural, data, and social sciences to understand and improve cities throughout the world. CUSP offers a one-year MS degree in Applied Urban Science & Informatics.
The CUSP community of students and faculty observe, analyze, and model cities to optimize outcomes, prototype new solutions, formalize new tools and processes, and develop new expertise/experts. It will make sense of the vast amount of data it collects to help cities around the world become more productive, more livable, more equitable, and more resilient.
