About Us

The Chelsea Film Festival (CFF), non-profit organization is an international film festival, enlightening the work of emerging filmmakers, producers and actors. It offers a wide range of films, such as documentaries and feature-lengths, focusing on the theme of “Global Issues”.

The Chelsea Film Institute is a registered 501(c)(3) organization that will help expose the underprivileged youth in Chelsea, NYC to the arts. According to U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, “The arts can help students become tenacious, team-oriented problem-solvers who are confident and able to think creatively. These qualities can be especially important in improving learning among students from economically disadvantaged circumstances.”

Throughout the year, CFI will offer free Arts classes to these economically disadvantaged children. The classes will allow these kids to spend their time productively, cultivate their love for the arts, and socialize with children of other cultures. There are numerous benefits to extracurricular arts classes: there is a correlation between regular participation in arts classes and academic achievement; and studies show that Arts based classes have a measurable impact on lowering the delinquency and truancy rates.

We are starting in the Chelsea Projects with our mission of “Making the World a Better Place.” Please feel free to donate to our cause below for the creation of the Chelsea Film Institute (Chelsea Film Festival’s Tax ID is: 46-4082997).
