The Psychotropic Deprescribing Council was founded to bring clinicians, other healthcare professionals, patients, and the general public together to address the rational deprescribing and tapering of psychotropic drugs.
Our mission: To advance safe and responsible psychotropic deprescribing through research and education in best clinical practices.

The coming year is filled with volunteer opportunities to expand our impact:
Community Building: We aim to cultivate a broader community of concern among professionals, patients, and advocates.Virtual Collaboration: Online meetings will connect healthcare professionals, researchers, and stakeholders to share knowledge and experiences.
In-Person Conference: Our first medical conference, scheduled for November 2025, will foster collaboration, promote research, and advance the adoption of safer deprescribing practices.
