  • Mission

The Psychotropic Deprescribing Council was founded to bring clinicians, other healthcare professionals, patients, and the general public together to address the rational deprescribing and tapering of psychotropic drugs. Our mission: To advance safe and responsible psychotropic deprescribing through research and education in best clinical practices.

    About Us

    Looking Forward: 2025 and Beyond

The coming year is filled with volunteer opportunities to expand our impact:

Community Building: We aim to cultivate a broader community of concern among professionals, patients, and advocates.

Virtual Collaboration: Online meetings will connect healthcare professionals, researchers, and stakeholders to share knowledge and experiences.

In-Person Conference: Our first medical conference, scheduled for November 2025, will foster collaboration, promote research, and advance the adoption of safer deprescribing practices.

Safer practices. Better outcomes. That’s not just our mission-it’s our promise.
