    The Mission of the Hunger Task Force of La Crosse, Inc. is to eliminate hunger by harvesting community resources and being the voice of the hungry.

    About Us

    The Hunger Task Force of La Crosse has three programs The Food Recovery Program, The Kane Street Community Garden, and The Senior Stockbox Program.

    The Food Recovery Programs collects nutritious food that would other end up in landfills and distributes it to 120 hunger programs in La Crosse, Monroe, Trempealeau, Vernon, Houston, Winona, and Allamakee Counties. These hunger programs include food pantries, meal sites, and youth programs.

    The Kane Street Community Garden was created to help ensure free nutritious produce was available to everyone. The Garden grows 30,000 pounds of produce each year on 2 city blocks. Produce is distributed free of charge to the public.
