GIVING STRENGTH INC. is dedicated to funding research grants and raising awareness for the rare genetic disorder SELENON Related Myopathy, an ultra-rare subtype of congenital muscular dystrophy (CMD), that primarily impacts neck and core muscle weakness, causing rigid spine, severe scoliosis, and reduced respiratory function. Giving Strength’s primary mission is to accelerate the ongoing gene therapy research and support small molecule research for treating SELENON Related Myopathy.
