Nassau Land Trust

The Nassau Land Trust is dedicated to conserving land and preserving Nassau County's heritage for future generations. We work with landowners, communities, and others interested in enhancing and protecting open lands, farms, and natural resources.

The Nassau Land Trust operates Crossroads Farm at Grossmann's, a certified organic, 5-acre vegetable farm in Malverne, Long Island, NY. Crossroads Farm sells its own seasonal produce, as well as organic and conventionally-grown produce from across Long Island, in its indoor farm stand.

In its first growing season, Crossroads Farm harvested over 35 unique varieties of certified organic vegetables, herbs, and cut flowers. Volunteers play an integral role in day-to-day operations on the farm, while receiving a hands-on education in organic growing methods, plant care, and local food operations. Crossroads Farm is also proud to offer educational programs to school groups, scout troops, and the community.
