Phoenix Rising for Haiti

Phoenix Rising for Haiti (PRH), a 501 ©(3) a non-profit organization, is a multidisciplinary medical and rehabilitation team that provides complete care in one of the poorest regions of Haiti,the north west city of Port au Paix,. We restore health and functional mobility by providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of various medical and orthopedic conditions, including prosthetics, orthotics, casting and wound care. Our teams consist of doctors, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, prosthetists/techs, pharmacists/techs and non-medical personnel. Our goal is to create a network of sustainable rehabilitation clinics throughout rural Haiti run by Haitian professionals supported by PRH volunteers both on site and via internet communication. We are looking for medical volunteers to join our team on our bi-annual weekly trips and to further reach our goal of year round medical and prosthetic care in Port au Paix, Haiti.
