Promise Place
Mission
About Us
Promise Place was established in 1987 to provide assistance to victims of domestic violence and their children. While originally established to provide services in Fayette County, Promise Place answered the call for the need of assistance for victims throughout the Griffin Judicial Circuit.
Promise Place provides comprehensive domestic violence services to Fayette, Spalding, Pike, and Upson Counties. Promise Place offers emergency shelter, 24 hour crisis hotline, crisis intervention, safety planning, legal advocacy, weekly support groups, childrens programs, emergency needs assistance, and community education. Promise Place now serves over 3,000 victims of domestic violence and their children each year. In addition, Promise Place reaches 2,594 students each year through our Teen Dating Violence Prevention Program taught in 9th grade Health classes.
Promise Place relies predominantly on the community for donations and volunteers to continue to provide the much needed services for victims of domestic violence and their children.
