  • About Us

    The Maryland Pesticide Network (MPN) is a grassroots coalition of organizations in Maryland dedicated to protecting health and the environment from the hazards of pesticides and promoting solutions for healthy living. Founded in 1994, MPN's diverse membership includes health care provider, consumer, environmental, parent, labor, agricultural and religious organizations.

    MPN's works to: -Promote the adoption of pest management practices that are safe for children, adults and our environment. -Promote right-to-know policies such as pre-notification of pesticide exposures and full disclosure of potential adverse health and environmental effects. -Educate the general public and health care professionals about the hazards of pesticide exposure and safer alternatives. -Promote programs and policies that reduce or eliminate reliance on pesticides. -Support follow through on Maryland's 1998 and 1999 Integrated Pest Management in Public Schools laws. -Work collaboratively with local, state and federal agencies and private organizations to promote the above objectives.
