  • About Us

Vision Our vision is to see a new generation of youth connecting to local food systems and possessing sustainable life skills* to care for the earth and it’s people.

Mission We offer dynamic enrichment programs to urban youth fostering connection to local food systems through experiential based learning in diverse natural spaces.

    About Us

Our roots sprouted as a youth education team at Hayes Valley Farm where we realized the potential of engaging youth, growing local food, and continuing mentorship. For 3.5 years we developed curriculum rooted in urban agriculture education to showcase that our food system can be understood through a local lens, and youth can be empowered to make changes each time they plant a seed.

We Branched out as a collective of youth educators committed to providing child-led programs designed to engage youth in urban gardens and farms while teaching sustainable life skills. Our programmatic offerings are crafted to inspire youth and deepen a sense of empowerment and connection toward our changing local food system. We fill in the gap at local green spaces where youth programs want to exist, but do not currently have the resources.
