About Us
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is a grassroots, family oriented support, education and advocacy organization. Our goal is to improve the lives of children, adolescents and adults who have mental illness and to support their families.
Our mission is to promote wellness for individuals and family members who are living with mental health issues and illness through dedicated support, education and advocacy in the greater Toledo area.
Our support groups are not for mental health treatment nor are they an alternative to therapy as provided by a licensed professional. The strength of our groups lie in our ability to relate to each other because we have similar experiences. We encourage you to seek out qualified mental health providers for treatment services.
