About Us

The mission is to harness the power of civic engagement and cross-sector collaboration by providing MetroWest with informed leaders to move the region forward. Each year at the flagship program, the Leadership Academy, 25 established and emerging leaders from the public, private and nonprofit sectors meet for 10 monthly program days to explore regional issues such as government, economy, education, public safety, diversity, arts, health, environment and housing. Leadership fellows engage in site visits and discussions with local and state leaders and experts, experience diverse schools of thought, and refine personal leadership style. Participants develop community links that are personally and professionally rewarding. They emerge more confident as leaders knowing how and why to be involved in civic affairs, and they become part of an unsurpassed network of more than 500 “uncommon leaders serving the common good."
