St. Zach's is a working farm for sober residents to continue the healing process after release from treatment programs. Our residential living program is a safe, sober, and restorative environment for our residents to establish a new direction in their lives. The focus is on accountability and peer support as we help each other build toward a new life with dignity and respect. Our facilities provide separate housing for men and women in two historic buildings. Each building has shared bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas. Outside, there is a barn and meeting space to store farm equipment and livestock. The barn has meeting space for community activities and educational events.
The farm is situated on 13 acres in rural Warren County Ohio. We are about 45 minutes north of Cincinnati and adjacent to the Little Miami River State Park which extends over 80 miles along the pristine Little Miami River - designated a Wild and Scenic River. Bald Eagles nest nearby.
Here residents will learn to take care of themselves - mentally, physically, and spiritually - while taking care of God's plants, animals, and land. They will learn the basics of animal husbandry and therapy animals. Our 3/4-acre vegetable garden will challenge you physically as you plant, tend, harvest, and market vegetables. Classes on beekeeping and maple syrup production will lead us into a future of increased sustainability. All are designed to improve wellness and support sustained sobriety.
