About Us
Just a change
Just a Change is a non-profit Association, which rehabilitates houses of vulnerable people in housing poverty mainly through the volunteer work of college students.
Our Mission is Renovating Homes, Rebuilding Lives.
We work all year long in Lisbon and Porto, and during the Summer in rural villages throughout Portugal. We help to renovate poorly structured houses and boost local economies by leveraging on small local businesses. The presence of young volunteers brings joy and energy to these frequently elder neighborhoods and regions.
Our Programs:
TURN UP: In Lisbon and Porto during the academic semesters, the volunteers work 4 hours every two weeks.
CAMP IN: In the summer, Just a Change camps (12 days program) take place in the Portuguese countryside, generating social impact in the local communities.
KEEP UP: The work never stops at Just a Change! Even during the academic holidays we organize one-week-long bootcamps in the cities of Lisbon and Porto.
ALL IN: One intense day where Corporations can go all in with us, where their staff can have a social impact and get their hands dirty.
