Swaner Nature Preserve

  • About Us

The Swaner Nature Preserve’s mission is to promote open space values and conservation of natural resources for future generations by PRESERVING open space land, EDUCATING our community and visitors, and NURTURING the land back to its original state.

Since 1993, SNP has preserved almost 1,200 acres of critical habitat, consisting of wetland, lowland, upland, and stream habitat, providing home to over 40 wildlife species and numerous plant species. SNP also focuses on environmental education for all age groups. We offer year-round experiential, interactive education, which includes onsite and outreach activities. In addition to education, SNP continues ambitious restoration projects on our open space parcel, including stream and wetland restoration.
