  • Mission

To help patients and their families cope with Scleroderma through mutual support programs, peer counseling, physician referrals, and educational information. To promote public awareness and education through patient and health professional seminars, literature, and publicity campaigns. To stimulate and support research to improve treatment and, ultimately, find the cause and cure of Scleroderma and related diseases.

    About Us

The Scleroderma Foundation Delaware Valley Chapter (SFDV) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the needs of people with Scleroderma in central/southern New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

Scleroderma is a chronic, autoimmune disease. There is no known cause and no known cure YET. The immune system in a patient attacks its own body. Scleroderma means "hard skin". However, the disease causes serious damage to internal organs including the lungs, heart and gastrointestinal tract. There are some medications which can ease some symptoms but there is NO cure.
