As the leading NGO of Coastal district Of Odisha, serving over 25 Years we work towards empowerment of Women, Dalit, Tribal, Fisherflok & Farming communities along the coast adjacent of Ganjam, Puri & Gajapati districts of Odisha. SABARAMATI SAMITI initially started its work in the year 1987 towards Non-formal & Adult education in block of Krushnaprasadpur under Puri district, Odisha. The organization was legally registered in the year 1992 at Ganjam, and engages to work towards the vulnerable communities of Odisha.
Our Mission is to work for the cause and care of people for improve their quality of life Stand for prospective change through action and promotes peace, focusing on village based community work in local governance, promotion sustainable integrated area development, people’s participation and facilitating resources tenure, improvement & implement educational approaches etc. We take action effectively on ecological sustainable development.
Our Vision Sabaramati Samiti has its vision to oppose against the thought of negligence towards communities. We incorporate our programs for promoting and well-being of community as a whole.
Numerous issues raised by the organization which includes; Health, Education, Elderly Welfare, Disaster Preparedness & Rehabilitation, Child Education, Agriculture Development, Water supply, Coastal & Forest Ecosystems, Climate Change, Peaceful co-existence, Harmonious and Sustainable Livelihood. Our main stream of work concentrates on the development of mankind and their standard of living.
