Elysium Sanctuary

We've all heard the age-old wisdom "it takes a village to raise a child." But what does it take to foster one?

Elysium Sanctuary is an Oregon-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to creating a "village" just for foster youth. We do this through building a community, expanding support, and enriching the lives of foster youth and their families. We believe in a world where all youth receive the guardianship, support, and life skills they need to thrive.

Despite our small size, we have successfully implemented the programs below to meet the needs of our growing community. But we need your support to expand them!

Guardian Circle - Being a resource (foster) parent can come with unique challenges. Guardian Circle provides guardians with a space to share experiences, resources, and engage in self-care. Check out the Portland Facebook Support Group to view upcoming Zoom hangouts and join our community, even if it's just online!

Family Supports Program - We provide help with things like clothes, school supplies, camp fees, and tutoring for foster families who could use a bit of extra help. We consider special resource requests as well.

Birthday Party Planning Program - Every child & teen deserves to feel celebrated on their birthday! We provide help with themed cakes, food, and decorations for foster families that could use a little help planning.
