The Warriors of the Rainbow Horse Sanctuary

The Warriors of the Rainbow Horse Sanctuary, Inc., is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit public charity which rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes abandoned and neglected equines, as well as keeping some here at Sanctuary for the rest of their natural lives. We aim to inspire generations of volunteers to become sterling caliber, future horse-owners; creating a world where no horse is neglected or abandoned, ever again.

Incorporated in 2015 (although operating since 1999) we save BLM Mustangs, horses referred by law enforcement, and horses privately relinquished. Volunteers come from all over the world to learn our gentling techniques. We have a reputation for producing "solid citizens", horses so reliable and appealing they are unlikely to find themselves abandoned by owners ever again. With over 170,000 American horses slaughtered for meat annually, we believe it is important to redefine in Europeans' minds (as they are the primary market for horse meat) the usefulness and sanctity of the horse as a companion animal rather than dinner.
