About Us

Greenwich Ballet Academy is a regional performing arts organization, with a focus on classical ballet. GBA has approximately 100 students and provides over 40 hours of class instruction weekly. There are two full-length ballets produced each year. We have one studio in Greenwich, CT and two studios plus our office in Port Chester, NY. The intern would assist the Managing Director in all facets of the program.

Key Responsibilities:

+Assist with the registration process.

+Keep weekly schedules and attendance sheets current

+Provide support to bi-annual productions.

+Be a presence in the studios and office.

+Facilitate communication between staff, parents and board when necessary.


+Familiarity with the performing arts.

+Ability to work in a collaborative environment.

+Comfortable working and communicating with both adults and young children.

+Ability to maintain a professional appearance and exemplary standard of behavior.

+Own transportation


+Flexible, but primarily between 3:30pm and 8pm (when classes are in session).

+For Summer months between 9:00am and 2:30pm

Learning Opportunities:

+Learn first hand about the financial side of a non-profit performing arts program - billing, invoicing, grant writing, fundraising, etc.

+Learn first hand about the management side of a non-profit performing arts program - schedules, attendance, publicity, stage management, ticketing, rehearsals, etc.

+Work closely with a skilled Managing Director and a Board of Directors, all of whom have professional experience related to arts and entertainment, as well as finance.
