Lucien Aigner Museum, Inc.

About Us

The Lucien Aigner Museum, Inc. was created by photojournalist Lucien Aigner in the mid-1980s to help him organize and market his vast photographic and journalistic collection. After Aigner died in 1999, his daughter, Anne-Marie Aigner, took over the management of his materials. At this time, all efforts are focused on organizing, digitizing and marketing his magnificent photos. Aigner is considered to be one of the original and most important -- yet most under-recognized -- photojournalists of the 20th century, along with contemporaries Cartier-Bresson, the Capas, Eisenstaedt, Kertesz and others.
