  • Mission

FRF’s mission is to teach Youth the skills needed to combat bullying, which ainclude resilience needed to succeed in life. Our vision is a world where kids 8 to 18 have the tools they need to withstand any humiliation, isolation, torment, even physical abuse, that comes their way. The impact we hope to have is to lessen neighborhood tensions by addressing the PUBLIC HEALTH CRISIS created by bullying. We are writing an "Emotional Development Curriculum (EDC)" to fill a gap where traditional schools fall short. FRF is planning some special events called GUIDEPOSTS where facilitators will teach - and you will be able to practice - the EDC. See the "Events" tab for more information.

    About Us

28% of U.S. students in grades 6-12 experienced bullying, National Center for Education Statistics and Bureau of Justice Statistics, School Crime Supplement - PDF , 2011.

20% of U.S. students in grades 9-12 experienced bullying, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System - PDF, 2013

Children can find themselves victims of bullying and have nowhere to look for help. Principals and teachers can choose to offer no support, and children are left to fend for themselves. GUIDEPOST: Bully Prevention and Leadership Training for Youth classes will teach kids ages 8 to 18 ways to cope on their own. Skills to be taught include emotional intelligence, empathy, resilience, self-efficacy, decision-making, leadership and crisis de-escalation - skills that will serve them into adulthood.
