Perfectly Flawed Foundation
Mission
The mission of the Perfectly Flawed Foundation is to strengthen communities by reducing the harms associated with substance use, preventing overdose, challenging stigma, and creating accessible pathways to support.
We meet people where they are with dignity, compassion, and without judgment. Through outreach, education, peer support, overdose prevention, and connection to resources, we empower individuals and communities to pursue “Any Positive Change” that improves health, safety, connection, and quality of life.
About Us
The Perfectly Flawed Foundation (PFF) is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to reducing the harms associated with substance use, preventing overdose, and creating pathways to health, stability, and connection. Founded in 2017, PFF serves communities throughout North-Central Illinois and beyond through outreach, education, peer support, overdose prevention, and other low-barrier services.
Our approach is rooted in a simple belief: every person deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. We meet people where they are, without judgment or expectation, and recognize that positive change looks different for everyone. Rather than defining success for the people we serve, we support “Any Positive Change” that improves a person’s health, safety, quality of life, or connection to their community.
PFF works closely with people who use drugs, people experiencing homelessness or housing instability, individuals impacted by the justice system, and others who often face stigma or barriers to traditional services. Our programs include mobile outreach, syringe services, naloxone and overdose prevention, drug checking, basic-needs assistance, peer support, connection to healthcare and treatment, and community education.
Lived experience is central to our work. We believe people closest to an issue should have a meaningful role in developing solutions. Our team combines lived and professional experience with strong community partnerships to build practical, innovative responses to some of the most challenging issues facing our communities.
As an employer, we value compassion, authenticity, collaboration, humility, curiosity, accountability, and a willingness to challenge stigma. We look for people who can build genuine relationships, work alongside people from different backgrounds and experiences, and recognize the humanity and potential in every person.
At Perfectly Flawed, our work is ultimately about people showing up for people and building healthier, safer, and more connected communities together.
