    RARA’s mission to create better lives for adults with intellectual disabilities; to enhance and enrich their lives by providing activities promoting a successful leisure life. RARA is dedicated to improving quality of life, developing independence, increasing physical and emotional well being through social interaction for adults with special needs. In doing so we provide respite care for families and caregivers alike.

    We are seeking Volunteers that will comit their time to the week ends, As a Volunteer you will be subject to a CORE CHECK before you start. After you will have made an appointment with the Office Manager, Susan our Office Manager at 978 453 5598 on Tues.thru Thurs from 9am thru 3pm. Alternative contact Bonnie at 978 604 9633, We are accepting volunteers that are 17 and over.

    RARA (Recreational,Adult,Resource,Association) of Greater Lowell. It is a small, 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization located in Lowell, Massachusetts.

    Founded in 1968, our main mission is to promote public awareness and understanding of the needs and issues specific to the developmentally delayed and their families. Through our Day and Evening/Weekend Programs, we are a resource of services providing accessibility to social, recreation, education and pre-vocational opportunities to our clients and respite for their families.

    RARA strives to provide the best quality services and programs to the mentally challenged population of the Merrimack Valley. RARA is funded primarily by individual and community donations. All donations are 100% tax deductible.
