Inspired by the legacy of Dr. Rolando Hinojosa-Smith, our mission is to educate, inspire, and empower individuals of all ages in the Rio Grande Valley and beyond to discover, preserve, and share their stories while fostering literacy, creativity, and environmental stewardship.

Founded in 2024, Creative BITS is a nonprofit rooted in the Rio Grande Valley that fosters literacy, storytelling, and environmental awareness.
We create spaces where youth, educators, and community members can share their voices, celebrate culture, and imagine new futures together.
