International Refugee Rights Association (IRRA) is an independent civil society organization dedicated to protecting the rights, dignity, and safety of refugees, asylum-seekers, and stateless people. Since its founding, IRRA has combined legal aid, independent monitoring, advocacy, and community-based programs to help displaced people claim their rights and build safer futures.
Our Goals: Ensure access to justice and services, prevent harm by documenting abuses, combat discrimination and exclusion, and strengthen refugee participation in decision-making.
What We Do: Provide legal aid in asylum, documentation, detention, and family unity cases; monitor field conditions and return centers; advocate before national and international mechanisms; and deliver training for volunteers, lawyers, and institutions.
Our Impact: IRRA has enabled thousands to secure legal status, access services, prevent unlawful returns, and find alternatives to detention. Our reports shape policies, while our trainings equip professionals to act ethically and effectively.
