    The Workers Compensation Research Institute (WCRI) is recognized worldwide as the leading research organization addressing the crucial public policy issues involved in compensation for employment-related injuries. Workers’ compensation is the nation’s largest and oldest public benefit program relying on a privatized delivery system, which involves $50 billion in annual transactions. WCRI is relied upon as the gold standard in data collection, objective analysis, and factual, policy-relevant reporting on this vast network of State-based legal frameworks, health care providers, insurance markets, and administrative mechanisms which affect the lives of every American. The WCRI mission is to conduct and disseminate empirical research sufficiently powerful, credible and actionable to catalyze significant improvements in compensation systems which affect the welfare of injured workers and the costs and competitiveness of employers everywhere. WCRI is a membership organization involving insurers, employers, third-party claim administrators, labor organizations, State government officials, foreign government agencies and managed care organizations.
