Exousia Safe Families Shelter of Georgia Inc

We desire to eradicate homeless families by addressing their multifaceted issues. The idea behind ESFSG came in response to Georgia’s ever-increasing number of homeless families due to COVID-19, high inflation, and joblessness. It is a travesty to see a community of otherwise productive people, with nowhere else to go, kicked off publicly owned land because they do not have the legal rights to build a society upon it. We believe that by providing the programs and services that help homeless families help themselves, they can be empowered and restored to self-sufficiency.

Mission Statement

The mission of Exousia Safe Families Shelter of Georgia Inc. (ESFSG) is to provide safe, temporary housing and support services to families transitioning out of homelessness in Georgia, empowering them to achieve stability and self-sufficiency and to provide referral services to families on the brink of homelessness.

Vision Statement

We are called to help eradicate homelessness in Georgia communities by locating, sheltering, and equipping homeless families with the resources and skills to transition into self-sustained families.

Purpose

Our purpose is to provide basic shelter to house individual families of four or fewer, meals per day via the onsite kitchen, a study hall room where after-school activities are conducted for youth ages 5 through 17, and conference-style rooms where adults can receive training sessions and program counseling. The shelter will progressively expand homeless services based on the availability of resources. Ideally, ESFSG would also be able to provide educational and job placement assistance upon expansion.
