Community Action Resource Association (CARA)
Mission
Since 1988, CARA has been an advocate, standing in the gap for many of our youth in the inner city of North Tulsa. We believe that laying a foundation for the economic advancement of young people within the community is of major importance. CARA is also dedicated to the development, nurturing and support of our youth and their families.
About Us
CARA provides a safe environment where children will be tutored, mentored, and trained. The children CARA serves range from Pre-K to 6th grade and most of the children are raised by single parents or other family members such as grandparents. The vast variety of training and learning, provided by our programs at CARA, can be utilized at home. The children are picked up from school and brought to our facility. Our programs permit youth that are economically frustrated, disadvantaged, helpless, poverty-stricken, and ignored by society to further advance their dreams.
