Miami Dade College AmeriCorps Excellence in STEM

AmeriCorps Excellence in STEM (ACES) is based out of Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus and offers small group, and one-on-one tutoring to support high school and college students to help them succeed in their STEM classes.

Members commit to 900 hours of service for 1 year (24 hours/week) starting March 26 and ending December 20, 2019. Members are paired with a site coordinator to target the students who are facing challenges in STEM courses and provide them with tutoring services. In addition to tutoring and mentoring, members participate in several STEM projects throughout the year that focus on environmental sustainability, education, and community development. We are currently partnered with Miami Jackson Senior High School, Miami Beach Senior High School, and iTECH at Thomas A. Educational Center.
