Student University Network for Social and International Health

About Us

The Student University Network for Social and International Health (SUNSIH) is a student-run, not-for-profit organization that seeks to facilitate promotion of social and international health in Canada and around the world. The primary goal of SUNSIH is to increase communication between different student global health groups in the county. In addition, we offer resources, such as educational packages and volunteer opportunities through our affiliates, for students who want to pursue work or research in global health.

Some of our initiatives include the SUNSIH National Conference held in Ottawa every fall. This year's workshop covered the following topics: Public Engagement: Students in Civil Society, Ethics for Global Citizens & Organizaitons - Intangible yet Practical Skills, Sustainable Organizational Development and Creating Positive Institutional Change. Our members can also participate in our Student Opportunities Research Program (SORP) where they will have the opportunity to conduct a research with an academic professor. We are also the Canadian partner of the Global Health Educaiton Consortium (GHEC) Health Modules Program.
