The V Foundation for Cancer Research

  • Mission

The V Foundation for Cancer Research started in 1993 with a big dream: achieve victory over cancer. Since then, we’ve expanded into an organization that has awarded over $200 million in cancer research grants. It takes a lot of teamwork and dedication to move towards curing cancer. We invite you to learn more about the V Foundation and our Co-Founder, Jim Valvano, discover the people behind the mission and be inspired by our “Not A Moment To Lose” campaign.

    About Us

The Victory Ride to Cure Cancer is a one-day charity cycling event set in the beautiful rolling hills of Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, N.C. The Ride will start and end on NC State University's Centennial Campus, near downtown Raleigh.

The 2018 Victory Ride is your opportunity to be part of something big from the very beginning. Join us as we go the distance in the fight against cancer, united in making a difference.

The V Foundation funds research at world-class facilities where critical discoveries on cancer are made. When you raise funds for the Victory Ride, the majority of proceeds will be awarded in North Carolina. And because cancer knows no boundaries of state, age, race, class, gender - or any other line that we think divides us - the remaining proceeds will fund important research across the U.S.
