    The LIC Community Boathouse and the East River Crew celebrate our “city of water” by reconnecting NYC residents with our waterways. Our mission is to provide residents and visitors with educational and recreational paddling and rowing opportunities. Our programs raise awareness of estuary ecology, supporting the goal of restoring the natural beauty and health of New York Harbor for all to enjoy.

    About Us

    The LIC Community Boathouse and the East River Crew offer free public paddle trips and rowing trips on the East River to participants over 18. The boathouse also offers free on water events in embayment areas allowing people of all ages to participate. Minors can paddle and row when accompanied by parents or guardians. Please check the boathouse calendar for scheduling.
