BEAR (Be A Resource for CPS Kids)

BEAR...BE A Resource for CPS Kids offers help and hope for abused and neglected children and the caseworkers who protect them.

BEAR is a unique 501(c)(3) public/private partnership that provides emergency goods and services to children under the care of Children's Protective Services (CPS) in Harris County through three programs. The BEAR Necessities Supply Room is an on-going program which meets the immediate needs of children ages 0 to 18 such as clothing, shoes, hygiene items, car seats, and portable cribs. The BEAR Back to School program provides school supplies, school uniforms, and shoes for approximately 4,000 children returning to school. The BEARing Gifts program provides Christmas wishes to 6,000 children.
