Sustainable Harvest International was founded on the fact that environmental degradation and rural poverty are unavoidably linked. That’s why the solution must also be linked. For the past 25+ years, we have provided local, long-term technical assistance, education, and training to rural farming families throughout Central America. Our proven model equips and empowers low-income farmers with the resources to implement proven alternatives to slash-and-burn agriculture, heal and sustain the land for future generations of farmers, halt tropical deforestation, and develop self-supporting communities through agribusiness. 

We currently operate in Belize, Honduras and Panama, with the support of staff members and supporters worldwide.
