About Us

Climate Tracker started in 2015, with the aim to support young communicators around the world engage in their national debates around climate change. Since then, we have offered one-on-one trainings, skills development courses and mentorships that have supported thousands of young journalists shape their national climate change debate, write better stories, and understand Climate Change.

For journalists in developed countries, there is ample opportunities to write and learn about Climate Change and receive professional training in key background subjects such as data journalism and statistics. For most journalists in developing countries, the incentives, support and opportunities severely hinder great Climate journalism. Climate Tracker is working to change that.

As a youth-based and youth-focussed organisation, we began largely reliant on free media tools and online management software. Still, in 2015 alone, we created 58 webinars and training videos and published over 2000 articles, in over 100 countries around the world. Since then, we have supported young journalists in 120+ countries to publish articles on climate change in 23 different languages.

We now have a custom-made online interface to connect with a global network of over 7500 journalists, and have partnered with several UN agencies to develop powerful media trainings, campaigns and global media research.

We are now seeking to recruit a remote, Digital Campaign Manager to further our work in connecting and supporting young journalists around the world. The Digital Campaigner will work with the international Climate Tracker family to develop and manage a variety of online opportunities and campaigns around the world. They will actively develop engagement strategies and analyse policy opportunities that will shape our campaign work.

In sum, They will identify, develop, and implement digital campaigns across multiple platforms, collaborating with other Climate Tracker staff and partners on online journalism campaigns, often crossing multiple geographies, cultures and media environments.
