    About Us

World Hunger Team (WHT) is a true 501(c)3 non-profit Christ-centered foundation based in Nashville, Tennessee. Founded in 2008, we have grown in countless ways from our start. Our mission has expanded to truly tackle hunger on a worldwide basis. We have designed and tested a variety of growing methods for both indoor and outdoor growing. We are adapting hydroponic techniques to traditional farm growing, and also working to improve food security in Africa.

We currently operate a 15-acre farm in Namalemba Village, Iganga, Uganda. It is known as the "Lost Crops of Africa Research Farm." We have installed a bore hole and solar-powered pump. We have planted coffee, beans, cabbage, corn and much more. We are testing many plots of "lost crops" that have great nutrition and flavor.

We also are testing Field Hydroponics in Mbale, Uganda.

Domestically we are implementing the "MyCityFarm.org" program to bring Indoor Community Gardens to communities and organizations nationwide.
