Northern Virginia Family Service
Homeless shelters. Job training. Case management. Food assistance. Holiday giving programs. Gang prevention.
This only begins to list the programs in our holistic approach to helping more than 34,000 of our vulnerable neighbors find stability and self-sufficiency every year. NVFS - a private, nonprofit organization - has been helping families since 1924. Our agency is an innovator of efficient, comprehensive service methods, and has been recognized nationally for its effectiveness in creating sustained financial and social independence for its clients. Our mission is to empower individuals and families to improve their quality of life and to promote community cooperation and support in responding to family needs.
NVFS is as diverse as the population we serve. More than two-thirds of our staff identify as Hispanic, black, Asian or another non-white race, and our staff speak a combined total of more than 11 languages.
Thank you for your interest in being part of the team, doing work that matters every day because of the difference you will make in the lives of children and families in Northern Virginia!
