Social Distance Delivery

Mission Statement:

Social Distance Delivery is a free grocery delivery service for the elderly and those especially vulnerable to COVID-19. We are a volunteer-based organization comprised of healthy individuals that will shop for you, pay for your groceries up-front, and deliver them to your doorstep with no delivery fee. Our clients are only responsible for paying for the cost of the goods. All tip donations are used to fund the costs of groceries for underprivileged households.

Description:

Social Distance Delivery is a free of charge grocery delivery team comprised of recent college graduates who want to give back to our communities during this difficult and perplexing time. Our volunteers grocery shop for the customer and then complete a no-contact delivery right to their door .

Social Distance Delivery hopes to make a significant impact in Washington D.C., area by allowing those who are elderly or with pre-existing conditions to stay at home while we shop for groceries on their behalf. With no charge for our service, we hope to help all individuals who may have an increased risk of contracting COVID-19 and cannot grocery shop for themselves.
