The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, the country’s third oldest zoo, established in 1876, is a living classroom, providing a broad spectrum of learning opportunities for its varied audiences both on-grounds and through innovative programs, lectures, expeditions and other off-grounds opportunities. The Zoo’s mission is to preserve the earth’s wildlife and wild lands through conservation, education, research, and recreation.
