  • About Us

ICD- Institute for Career Development is a 100-year old New York based 501(c)(3) whose mission is to help veterans and people with disabilities, many of whom are living at or below the poverty level, to transform their lives through career development and employment. We achieve our mission by providing career evaluation and planning services, hands-on job training programs, community-based internships, job placement assistance, and job retention support at no cost to participants.

We are the largest, oldest organization in NYC focused exclusively on a cross-disability population and we successfully place 70% of our participants. Now, in our second century, we are focused on expanding our reach and increasing the social impact of our work through new and innovative practices, programs, and partnerships.
