  • Mission

Apraxia Kids is the leading nonprofit that strengthens the support systems in the lives of children with apraxia of speech by educating professionals and families; facilitating community engagement and outreach; and investing in the future through advocacy and research.

    About Us

Since its inception in 2000, Apraxia Kids has provided support to tens of thousands of families and professionals through Online Webinars, its Intensive Training Insititute and its National Conference by providing access to the latest research and practices in treating Apraxia. It sponsors a Walk for Apraxia throughout 79 U.S, cities ana 13 cities in Canada. The Walk is the largest fundraising and awareness event supporting children affected by Apraxia. In addition to raising funds to support the programs and services offered by Apraxia Kids, the Walk celebrates the lives and hard work our kids, the Apraxia Stars, to find their voices. Each Apraxia Star who registers for the Walk is recognized individually and receives a medal to celebrate their achievements.
