Women's Intercultural Center of Anthony, NM
The Women's Intercultural Center is a place where women learn and work together to develop their social, spiritual, economic and political potential. The Center is located between Las Cruces, NM and El Paso, TX and serves predominately immigrant women along the U.S./Mexico border. The Center offers a variety of basic and creative learning classes including English as a Second Language, sewing, carpentry, visual arts, and many others. Through the Economic Self-Sufficiency Program, women learn how to use their skills to earn income and help support the Center. In addition, the Center's Border Awareness Experience (BAE) Program hosts various groups from across the country, who want to experience and learn about life on the border.
