About Us
The Vashon Senior Center opened its doors in 1982 and is recognized as a community place, open four days each week from 9 AM-3 PM. We serve older adults and the people who care about them on Vashon and currently have over 650 members. While our focus population is adults ages 55 and older, everyone is welcome at the Center and no one is ever turned away for inability to pay. We provide a welcoming place for the Vashon community and offer congregate meals, health and fitness programs, learning opportunities, support groups, and games each week. We are also a place for companionship, nutrition, and social services. Our mission is Enriching the Lives of Older Adults on Vashon.
