  • Mission

Saving Animals from Euthanasia (SAFE) is an animal rescue organization that is deeply committed to developing a comprehensive community-based resolution to the euthanasia of adoptable companion animals. SAFE abides by a no-kill philosophy and each animal we rescue is fostered until we can place it in a loving home.

    About Us

SAFE was founded in 2002 and is a no-kill animal rescue organization.

SAFE is an all volunteer, foster home-based rescue. By using foster homes, we are able to avoid the shelter behaviors and illnesses many dogs and cats develop in confined spaces.

SAFE sponsors the annual Arizona Animal Fair at Reid Park, drawing thousands of animal lovers and animal welfare activists to Tucson.

SAFE holds adoptions at PetSmart (Irvington/I-19) every Saturday from 10AM - 3PM and participates in several adopt-a-thons throughout the year.
